As an undergraduate course instructor, my goal is to bring students to a mastery of mathematical concepts in addition to methods for problem solving through interactive lectures and leading students through varied in-class example problems. I believe that understanding the “why” is a key to understanding and retaining the “how-to”. Additionally, I work to provide educational customization when needed through office hours and by identifying and promoting available resources in the university community.
As a private tutor, I look beyond superficial scores to identify the root of a students’ mathematical struggle. When gaps in fundamental math skills emerge, I work to fill them in through review of basic concepts accompanied by practice exercises to support mathematical education and reduce student frustration.
Fall 2024
I am currently teaching Survey of Calculus (MATH 1220) at Georgia State University.
